TopEducational Trips

The college organises both, one day picnics, and excursions to places of historical interest atleast once in a year. Students are accompanied by members of the Teaching Faculty.

Department wise field trips are also organised in the college.

The department of zoology organises field trips every year. In 2006 students were taken to the zoology museum ,Osmania University. The museum has rare collection of specimens and it has one of the best collection of birds in Hyderabad state according to ornithological survey of India. In 2007 students were taken to shameerpet lake in Rangareddy District, Andhrapradesh to perform an ecological experiment and investigation of certain physical & chemical parameters of pond water and some students to A.P Forest academy Dhulapally. In 2008 students were taken to Medical Exhibition at Osmania University Medical College and also to MEBEX-2008 which was especially the Model of cell structure showing the stages of human embryo and working of heart. In 2010 students were taken to Fish Farming Unit, Medchal, Rangareddy District.

As a Community service the students of B.SC (BZC) visited the slum situated at S.B.Colony, Marredpally, to estimate the heamoglobin levels and blood groups of the people of that area.

The department of Clinical Nutrician & Dietatics organises field trips to National Institute of Nutrician (NIN), Apollo Hospitals, Asian Institute of Gastroanthrology etc. As a community service the students of B.Sc(CND) prepares Nutritious snacks for children of "Vikasini School", a school for underprivileged girl children.Their work is to give Nutrition education to school children.

The Department of Mathematics organised a field trip to International Congress of Mathematicians(ICM). The students and faculty have interacted with world renowned mathematicians. ICM will be held once in 4 years in any country. In 2010 it was held in hyderabad.

The Department of Physics organises regular student field trips to National Laboratories like Meteorological Centre (Begumpet, Hyderabad),TIFR Baloon Launching Center (ECIL, Hyderabad) and NGRI(Hyderabad).

The Department of Statistics organises a field trip every year . As a community development program the student will be taken to "SADHANA" a centre for mentally challenged orphans. Students pool some amount and purchases food items, clothes etc and distributes them at SADHANA.

TopCounselling Cell

To help the students overcome the pressures of competition, and of life in general, a counselling cell is organised, where guidance and help is provided for them to deal with personal, social and vocational problems. Several members of the teaching faculty are involved in this endeavour. Guidance on career opportunities and employment opportunities is also provided.

TopStudent Aid Fund

To ensure that economically backward students are not deprived of education for want of money, scholarships are awarded to SC, ST and BC students. Meritorious students are entitled to merit scholarships. A maximum of 75% attendance is the criterion for availing this opportunity. Applications can be collected from the college office and should be submitted before the month of August.

TopSeminars & Extension Lectures

Seminars are arranged at regular intervals to provide an opportunity for the students to interact and exchange views with eminent Professors and other academics. This helps to expand the horizon of young minds beyond the limits of syllabi and curriculum.

The department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics arranged a lecture on "Food Neophobia" by Dr. Koushik Adhikari, Assistant Professor from Kansas State University ,USA.

"Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam" is celebrated on 29th of August every year on the birth anniversary of "Gidugu Ramamurthy Panthulu" in the college premises by the department of Telugu. On that day Guest Lectures are arranged and all the students interact with renowned persons and know about telugu literature. Dr.Jyothirmayee presented AMMA program with 100 episodes in Doordarshan Saptagiri channel which is adjudged as one of the popular programme by India Today in 2008.

"Hindi Diwas" is celebrated on 14th September of every year organised by the Department of Hindi. The department also arranges extension lectures by eminent personalities and also a book exhibition. In 2011 the students were taken to St. PiousX Degree College for literacy and cultural competition "Prathiba 2011".
