Infrastructure

The campus is spread over 3.85 acres and accommodates three buildings. The classrooms of Degree and Postgraduate are housed in 3 different blocks within the campus.

A & B blocks house degree classrooms, laboratories, library & administrative office. The Silver Jubilee Block is used extensively for postgraduate courses. In addition to classrooms, library & office , the building has two well-equipped seminar halls for common use by UG and PG.

Ten e-classrooms are shared by all the three faculties to enable the use of audio-visual aids for teaching and other purposes.

The entire Postgraduate sections are in the Silver Jubilee Block, which comprises of spacious classrooms and comfortable Seminar Halls equipped with Audio-visual aids like OHP and LCD projectors. This block also houses a separate Director room, Postgraduate office room and Postgraduate library,

Library

The college has a well-stacked library for Graduate & Postgraduate students with more than 46000 books, catering to the curriculum as well as to general knowledge. The students have the benefit of updating their knowledge on a range of subjects with the help of 55 national and international journals, 60 magazines, E-Resources with E-Journals & E-Books and other periodicals.

Library department maintains Information Resource Centre. Internet facility is provided to the members for online browsing. A Directory of Open Access Resource is provided for searching information (http://www.doaj.org) (http://e-books.org), Directory of Open Acess Repositories (http://www.opendoar.org/index.html). DELNET services are accessed by the members. Free usage of e-Journals, e-books, articles, databases, thesis and dissertations is made avaiable through UGC N-LIST membership.

E-Services

N-LIST: Library is a member of N-LIST, National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for scholarly content, a project funded by the Ministry of HRD under it National misssion on education through ICT N-LIST extends e-resources to colleges in India and is jointly excuted by the UGC INFONET Digital Library Consortium, INFLIBNET centre and the INDEST-AICTE Consortium, IIT Delhi.

Through the N-List Project, the Library provides access to e-resource to students, researchers and faculty members. The authorised users of the library can access e-resources and download articles required by them directly from the publisher's website. The college library has access to selected electronic resources including electronic journals, electronic books and bibliographic databases. These resources include more than 2,154 e-journals, 51,746 e-books and a bibliographic data called MathSciNet containing more than two million reviews of research articles in mathematics. Authorized users i.e students and faculty are given the password against their names. Orientation is given to all the members in the library at reqular interval and also as and when required. Users can have access to these resources from anywhere with the help of internet.

Library Automation

Library is fully automated On-line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is provided to search for information through Author, Subject, Title, ISBN, Call No, Keywords etc to know the status or availability of the book. Users are given the facility to reserve a book or give their requirement to the Librarian online with the help of a unique identity number and a common password. Charging and discharging is done through Bar-Code by using a scanner. Stock verfication is done with the help of UNITECH MAKE HT 630 Handheld Terminal With 4.5 MB Laser Engine (Scanner). DELNET: Our college library is a member of DELNET (Developing Library Network) on-line services and resources are provided through DELNET to the users. DELNET informative resources are bibiliographic in nature. Through DELNET the Library provides delivery of individual bokks as and when required by users and photocopies of journal articles that are published in Indian and Foreign journals through Inter Library Loan and Document Delivery services.

Laboratories

The department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics maintains a "State of the art Lab" lab with modular furniture and sophisticated equipment.

Chemistry Laboratories are equipped with State of Art infrastructure with latest instruments and equipments like Spectrophotometer, Circulatory Thermostat, Deep freeza, Electrical Suction Pumps etc.

The department of Physics has well equipped latest Electronics apparatus like Digital Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes, Digital Electronic Kits, Digital Multimeters and Digital Signal Generators.

The department of Biotech maintains a good infra-structure facilities for teaching and research. Some of the major equipment includes - Double distillation unit, Tissue Culture Facility, UV-Transilluminator, -20 Deep-freezer, Rotatory shaker, Homogenizer etc. It also maintains Bio-Club, the web site address is BIO-CLUB..
